the trophy

The winners of the awards presented by the Academy of Video Game Arts and Techniques receive a Pegasus, a magnificent trophy representing one of the most famous creatures in Greek mythology.

Countless classic French authors have referred to him in their texts and poems, including Voltaire, Balzac, and Victor Hugo. But Pegasus is not just a literary figure; for many years, he has also found his place in video game bestiaries, particularly role-playing games, thus moving from one art form to another.

The Pégase trophy is designed in France and manufactured by the Macheret art foundry, which has been awarded the Living Heritage Company label for its outstanding craftsmanship. It is made of bronze with a gold-plated finish on a black lacquered resin base.
